October 29th

You know those terribly unhealthy behaviours we all indulge in and pretend we know absolutely nothing about when talking to our nearest and dearest?

Or is that just me?

Anyway, I have one and I'll confess it right now.  Hello, my name is Amy, and when I get SUPER STRESSED I EAT A LOT OF FOOD.  I do.  It's very sad.  I'm on my second piece of bread with microwaved cheese on it.  For a snack.  After I ate a piece of pumpkin pie.  Without a plate.

The children are sleeping.  So I should be packing and cleaning but all I can do is sit in one spot and slowly melt into a puddle of uselessness.  I felt terrible this morning after telling Samuel that we could walk down and see his friend Joey, and then noticing the giant doom-filled clouds that are the precursor to Hurricane Sandy (whatever's left of it by the time it hits Canada) on the horizon.  So instead we went to playgroup, where Samuel ate a fruit bar and a yogurt cup and interacted fairly well with most children and only had two meltdowns.

Clara just refused to sleep unless she was on me.  This is her new super-fun trick.  It's just great.  I don't need to tell you how much stuff I can get done with an 18 pound weight strapped to my chest.

David is home in two and a half hours.  I have to be not freaking out by then so that we can get work done.
