Leaves!

David and Samuel took an hour last week to help our neighbour rake his leaves.

A service mindset starts early, and all of the glorious fun that a giant pile of leaves offers is payment enough!

Pumpkins!

We headed off this week to pick our pumpkins!

Samuel was a little overwhelmed by the half acre of pumpkin vines!

He kept yelling "Ball!  Ball!"

David worked, unfortunately, but Mama and Sam still had a nice time together.

And found a little-boy-sized seat for a rest part way through the afternoon.

Sam was more than happy to pose for pictures.

I think that cute smile is contagious!

And sure enough, he and Mama found just the 'right one'.

Next came the hay ride with two HUGE Clydesdale horses pulling the wagon.  "Neigh!" Samuel said.

And this is where I live.  Deep deep in the countryside.
