Well, I don't have a favorite band, but I'll give you this:  Hide And Seek by Imogen Heap.  This is probably the one that made me fall a little bit in love with Heap, which is close to favorite....

My parents were HUGE Van Morrison fans as I was growing up, and as a result I have a lot of his lyrics in my head, for good or for bad, I can assure you that I can sing this song backwards and forwards, including humming the acoustic bits!

Day 7: A song that reminds you of a certain event

One of the many benefits of getting baptized as an adult is you get to choose your own soundtrack!  This is what I requested be sung at my baptism.

Day 6 - a song that reminds you of somewhere

I tried to counteract a very stressful pregnancy by listening to, well, this cd.  A lot.  More than I should have.  To the detriment of dishes and any number of other things!  But as a result this song seriously reminds me of my livingroom, in February, sitting on the green chair...waiting.

Day 5: A song that reminds you of someone.

My very dear friend, Amanda, and I used to spend hours and HOURS recording ourselves playing guitar and singing - this was one of our faves.  Actually, we weren't bad!  Anything Indigo Girls makes me think of her, but for some reason this number especially.

Day 4: A song that makes you sad

Stephan Moccio is one of my favorite modern pianists, but this song, October, always makes me a little sad.

Day 3: A song that makes you happy.

She said "Tell me, are you a Christian child?" and I said "Ma'am I am tonight."




Priceless.  Priceless.  I  could belt this one out and wake the baby if I had half a mind to.

Day 2: Your least favourite song

Wow, I dislike a LOT of songs...but I'm assuming it needs to be an actual 'I dislike this song personally' sort of worst song and not, say, The Hamster Dance, which anyone with any musical taste at all would hate.

It was tough, friends, but my vote goes for this doozy:

Sooooo...I follow Cari at Clan Donaldson and she is doing this 30 day song challenge thingy.  And oh, if there is anything that gets my proverbial juices flowing it is a challenge!  CHALLENGE!


And I am snitching the idea from her 'cause I'm good like that.  And because she is busy with five children and a garden and might not notice for a bit!

I had a bit of trouble with the 'favourite song' bit, because I adore music and really, it's hard to imagine just ONE song, for eternity, as my absolute mostest best.  But this one is great, so here you go!  I wonder what sort of person people expect you to be when they haven't met you, and if music tastes will reveal, perhaps, someone entirely different?
