Food Challenge Day Five

I had cold cereal for breakfast, and Samuel...
well, Samuel ate a muffin from Tim Hortons.
Blech for pre-made food.

And since once a week we like to go 'out' for a meal, we had lunch at A&W as a family on David's lunch break.  Two mozza burgers for $6.  Add a large fry and it feeds a family of four - provided only two people are really eating and a third eats a few fries and drinks the ketchup.

Usually on a day that looks as bad as this one does nutritionally, I would prepare something really healthy for supper.  Unfortunately, today was the day I had planned to use up stuff that was sitting in the fridge and pantry.  So, we had spaghetti and tomato sauce, and by spaghetti I mean various bags of pasta odds and ends that I'm too frugal to get rid of.

I also started prepping for meals for tomorrow, since David is back on nights again.  Chicken quarters on low in the slow cooker and a bowl of dried cranberries rehydrating on the countertop...
