If we have not genuine grace in the family circle, all our outward and public plausibility merely springs from a fear of the world or from the slimy, putrid pool of our own selfishness. I tell you the home is a mighty test of character. What you are at home you are everywhere, whether you demonstrate it or not. -TALMAGE

Cross Stitch
The gifts just keep coming for Clara (and Samuel, too) and I'm amazed by them. Clothes, pictures, food, toys, more clothes, diapers, general baby stuff, etc. Yesterday, though, Clara got a gift that blew my mind so much that I had to take pictures of it and show you, too.
My camera cannot do this justice - do you know what it is? Can you tell? It's a CROSS STITCH! I KNOW!!! RIGHT!!!???? It is simply stunning, but the gift didn't stop there...
My friend continued on to make a nautical-themed cross stitch for Samuel as well! She made these. Like, with her own hands. I struggle to knit straight but she stitched these in her SPARE TIME. And lest you think this is the first we've seen of this amazing handiwork - here's what she made Samuel for his birth two years ago:
She is, without question, one of the most talented people I know.
