Clara's Baby Shower - Without any photos...

My carnation from mother's day this year.

Our church threw Clara a baby shower this evening, and I foolishly forgot to take my camera (which I had remembered to bring) out of my bag and take even one, solitary photo.  Considering the fact that I took dozens of photos of Samuel's baby shower, like any of these:

for example, I feel really guilty that Clara will not have one picture of her shower.  I have a photo of the flower I got for mother's day, two days after her birth.  I have a picture of what David and Samuel gave me for Valentine's Day this year...
But as for Clara's shower, I have no pictures.  I'll tell you that it was lovely.  There were pictures of my little girl in a slideshow, there were games, and too much food (as there should be, I always feel that a 'real' party is one where everyone feels a little overindulged by the end) and I got to pass my little girl to other mamas and have a coffee by myself, and eat food without sharing it and all that.  But when I got home I asked David to take our photo, because it was, after all, our first party together, though I hope it isn't our last.

Clara and her mama, home from the party.
