Don't these look/sound good?
Mmm...and thrifty and healthy and fast and...
so. not. what. I. make.
Not that I couldn't make them, probably, but I'm not great with following recipe instructions. I'm just...I'm just not. So here's what I did instead.
Step 1-ish: I took some leftover oatmeal from this morning. I dunno, it looks like about two cups, wouldn't you say? And then I found a banana in the freezer so I put that in, too.
And because the freezer was open I saw blueberries, which I thought would be nice in oatmeal muffins. Oatmeal Blueberry Muffins sounds pretty delish, so I threw in some of those, too.
And, well...
Things went a little crazy from there. I put in a few Tbsps of sugar, a mug of flour, some cinnamon and nutmeg, the last of a jar of jam and some oil and baking powder.
Oh, and wheat germ, because I put wheat germ in everything these days. And butter, I forgot to mention butter.
And then I blended the heck out of it, scooped it into greased muffin cups and popped it in a 350 oven until they looked done.
And they weren't bad, although they needed a couple of eggs, and maybe some more flour.
In other news, supper...
was not the abject failure it so often is these days. Moroccan chicken with assorted rice and chickpeas and other interesting things. Figs, clearly, and olives, if I remember correctly. Also a lot of lemon.
