A Day of Divine Intervention.

I went to bed last night at around 10:30 and woke up two hours later with burning acid reflux and a panic attack.  I was up until 4, doing some church paperwork and then watching the UK Antiques Roadshow until I felt sick from exhaustion.  Also eating Tums, lots of Tums.  I don't know how I fell asleep again, but somehow I did, and was up again at 7 to a very wakeful little boy.  Five hours of sleep is not much for two people sharing a body to work with, but the baby girl and I did it.

With the help of some divine intervention, that is!

A fortunate and completely unexpected drive to work and an equally unexpected drive home.  An opportunity for morning prayer during Holy Week, the raisin bread some kind soul left in the fridge at the church with a note reading "Feel Free To Eat This Food", which I took them up on.  Several cups of coffee, a little boy who napped as soon as I got home which gave me a chance for a hot bath alone and an hour of quiet time with David, and giving myself 'permission' to buy Subway for supper instead of trying to make anything.

Thank you, Lord.  I'm going to go to bed, read some Lauren Winner and try and catch up on sleep.
