A terrible start to Lent in some ways, full of worry and all that, but a great start in so many others!
1. I didn't freak out that Samuel had tantrums before his nap, after his nap and before bed but I did stress that my wool diaper covers, which I've lanolized twice in the past week, leaked again today and also that I sincerely do not have enough diapers to cover TWO bums and have GOT to do something about that.
2. But then again, when all I could manage today was using WD40 on the squeaky rocking chair and all the creaking doors in the apartment, I felt seriously productive. But then I got to worrying about the chemicals in the air...would they hurt Sam?
3. But THEN I managed to actually get the garbage out before the truck came! Hallelujah!
4. And made the worst devilled eggs in history. Seriously, even Samuel wouldn't eat the yolks. They were gross. And I missed my friend's going away party...
5. But I made it to church for Ash Wednesday, Lord! And that 30 minutes refreshed me to no end!
Little steps, little steps, stop worrying, Amy, God has it covered.
