We've been keeping cool the old-fashioned way!
We've been stopping to smell the flowers, whether they're roses or not.
We've been cooking with all of the bounty of the season.
But Autumn has started to creep in around the edges of our days as well. Earlier this week I made stew with pork, apples and corn simmered in rosemary, garlic and orange peel broth. It made me think of cozying up to someone cuddly and feeling the cool breeze of fall.
Tonight I'm braising beef ribs and the feeling intensifies - Fall is just around the corner.
But I don't want to rush it, I've been feeling oh so anxious and stressed this summer, summer isn't a good time for me emotionally, and I need to slow down and enjoy these last few precious weeks before the leaves start to turn.
