Where the ministry news stands at the end of March

It has been a long road for us to get here, but God has been gracious.  Three times we've wondered how we were to pay for a course, and three times the money came through, often above and beyond our wildest expectations.  Twice now David has gone before governing boards to argue his call to the ministry and twice he has come away not only supported, but unanimously so.  The latest news is that it turns out the three courses that he needs to take to complete his licensing requirements have actually shrunk to just one course.  Which means that in a matter of weeks David will be done with the mandatory educational requirements.  Praise God.

Still, there has been some less positive news.  Because David only holds a student license right now he needs to maintain that level of licensing for 1 calendar year before he can be granted a district license.  Imagine, for comparison, a graduated driver's license.  You need to hold the first level for a set amount of time before you can progress to the next.

Long periods of waiting interspersed with bursts of activity, I believe I called it earlier.  It looks like a waiting period is coming up.  David will finish this course, probably by the Summer by the looks of it, and then he will occupy his time productively by taking more coursework as he can, and improving his chances of being granted a church in any other ways he can as well.

Thank you all so much for your prayers.  I love to keep you up to date.
